		The challenge will commence on the afternoon of Thursday 19th June when Adam, Jon and I will sail across to Cowes from Lee on Solent sailing club. For the evening the lasers will be left on the hard standing outside the Island Sailing Club. Then it is time to rest and prepare for the coming day’s challenge. Weather permitting the support team and myself will depart Cowes on Friday, 20th June at 04:00 and head west towards the Needles - a sail of approximately 13 nm (nautical miles). We should arrive at the Needles at approximately 09:00. Then we sail southeast for St Catherine’s approximately another 13nm away, arriving there at approximately 11:30. The third leg is northeast to Bembridge approximately 12 nm with an estimated arrival time of 15:00. The final leg will be the 12 nm home strait west to Cowes. All being well, I and the rest of the team will cross the finish line at Cowes somewhere between 18:00 – 19:00. The circumnavigation amounts to some 50 nm and will take between 10 and 14 hours.
